Wayward Soul 03:34
VERSE 1 I could never be trusted. With money I could never pull the sword from the stone I'm a feather in the breeze trying to hold tight Waiting on another lover who will leave me alone CHORUS Its just another long night on the wrong road Oh the sad tales that will be told Of the lost child With the wild eyes........And the wayward soul VERSE 2 Lies falling from the faces of sad men Trust is simply the delusion of hope C'mon baby nail me to your cross now There ain't nothing you can give me that I want to own CHORUS Its just another long night, On the wrong road Oh the sad tales That will be told Of the lost child With the wild eyes........And the wayward soul BRIDGE Ever searching, always hurting...Scattered like the embers of the burning.. Fire, pushing me on like a stark raving songbird....Dying to be heard... ...worn and restless, bound and breathless, fighting for the life that is breaking my bones
2.
Sarah 03:23
VERSE 1 Sarah come around every time she hear the guitar play She been breakin' it down since the dawning of the matinee Sarah marches to the drummer like a freaker putting on a display While all the snooty girls in town are talkin’ down upon her crazy ways but I say...... CHORUS Sarah, go on dance if you want to.......c'mon Sarah, don’t you give a damn what they say, girl C’mon, Sarah all those haters that taunt you Let 'em all fade away Every time the music plays VERSE 2 Mama come to town with the sugar and the fancy tea But Sarah gotta get up, got get out and find the beat And Mama don’t appreciate the visit with the empty seat She said you settle down and simmer down your little dancing feet REPEAT CHORUS VERSE 3 Beer goggle Bobbie saw Sarah in the neon lights A sweet & tasty treat for a tiger with an appetite But Sarah can’t be bother with a lover trying to buy her time Singin' won’t you sit down & share a cherry wine with me tonight REPEAT CHORUS
3.
I feel like that old oak tree Stuck in the ground Battered by the wind and rain Waiting to fall down You never hit quite hard enough To make me break I've been strong enough to stand it But I don't want to live this way CHORUS I can't make you see I can't make you change I can't bear to leave But I know I can't stay I've been so deep in denial 'Cause I've known it all along I'm living on the wrong side of gone You loved me just enough That I didn't feel alone You make me think I'd be the one To save your desperate soul We built a life upon a promise of it all But how long can a house stand on these sad and angry walls? CHORUS BRIDGE I know how to be a fighter But I don't know what I'm fighting for I know how to save a life But I can't stop this bleeding anymore CHORUS
4.
She's a run away train Skiddin' off the tracks 'Cause she is swinging that guitar like a battle axe They tell her it's a boys club But she don't give a damn...she cries, “I ain't lookin' to change the world This is who I am.... CHORUS I love the feel of the 6 string, the buzz of the amp I like to bang my head and rock with the band Give me the white hot lights, the sweat of the crowd I will make you shake and scream out loud I don't care if you forget my name I just wanna play” She was an outcast child She don't have much to say Mommy & daddy don't understand How she went so far astray They tell her life on the road Can take a heavy toll She cries “I don't need sex or drugs But I live for rock n' roll” CHORUS I just want to hear the rhythm of the bass and kick drum Feel it pounding in my veins CHORUS
5.
You're barefoot with your shoes on You're bone dry in the rain You're the springtime in the snowstorm You're a million miles of space between me and the worries that eat my soul away You're laughter in the sad song You're the dancer dark You're the backroad on the fairway You're the beat that keeps my heart from bleeding, from ceasing, from breaking all apart CHORUS You are everything beautiful in this crazy messed up world You are everything beautiful in this world You're the white dove in the war zone You're the melody in the scream You're poetry in the politics You're a breath of sanity that fills me that saves me from certain tragedy CHORUS You are everything beautiful in this crazy messed up world You are everything beautiful in this world BRIDGE When I'm beneath the darkest night be my starlight, be my guide CHORUS

about

Madison-based Beth Kille Band released their first EP entitled Stark Raving Songbird, on Friday, May 8th at The High Noon Saloon in Madison. Kille is a veteran on the Madison music scene, having released 3 records with her former band, Clear Blue Betty, 3 solo records, and 3 collaborative projects in 2014 with other Madison musicians, but this project is different. “This is a Beth Kille Band album,” Kille explains. “I've been fortunate enough to latch onto these great players and keep them around for a couple years so I wanted to celebrate the sound that we've created together.” The album features Kille's drummer since 2002 (and husband), Tony Kille, bassist Michael Mood (who also recorded and mixed the record) and the 2014 MAMA Award Guitarist of the Year, Michael Tully.

While Kille's 2012 solo album received airplay on several country and Americana radio stations, this new recording falls decidedly in the rock category.
